Clearloop's Impact Today
Jackson, Tennessee
With the support of 11 organizations, such as Fortune 500 company Intuit and private equity company Vista Equity Partners, seeking to offset their carbon footprint, Clearloop built 1 million watts of new solar, generating electricity to power 200 homes over 40 years.
Alongside 200+ students from across the state, Clearloop flipped the switch on this solar project in September 2022. By summer 2023, this project has prevented nearly 2 million pounds of carbon from entering the atmosphere.
Paris, Tennessee
Clearloop partnered with Rivian to support the development of 1 megawatt (MW) of the 6.75MW
80-acre Paris Solar Farm. Rivian’s portion of the solar farm is expected to annually generate more renewable energy than is needed to power all Rivian Waypoints chargers across Tennessee.
At the "first charge" event held in January 2023, Rivian and Clearloop celebrated the project with the local community with an unveiling of Rivian's new Waypoints EV charging site in Paris.
Panola County, MS
In April 2023, Clearloop broke ground on the first of three solar projects in Panola County. The first project was funded by 30+ organizations from across the country, including GOAL, who partnered with Clearloop to cut their carbon footprint. The third project kicks off a multi-year collaboration with Vanderbilt University where their investment will offset the university's FY21-22 footprint. Collectively these three projects will support the development of 18 million watts of solar, injecting carbon free electricity into the local grid, powering ~3,000 homes for the next 40 years.
